I think leadership is a very simple thing to a degree.
But the amount of information you really need to know to lead, is small. It's much more about daring to do it and daring to learn a few lessons.
Meaning, there are different phases to learning what leadership is and how it works:
The difference between a guy managing 5 people at a cornerstore and a multi billion CEO can be very small. The rest is up to people skills, recognizing qualities, wants, needs, difficulties, people who need support but dont say so, people who ask for support but are actually fine on their own.
That is a very soft skill that cant be learned from books
There is not really a grace period. Leaders have to behave as leaders from the moment they are roughly on the trajectory of being one. That means inter personal excellence and consistency when it comes to values, priciples and goals.
when it's about organizing leisure time, that can come with a less formal attitude. But at the end of the day, someone is organizing the events and the community and they have to be aware that they are doing it, continuing to do it and that they might be the foundation for the community to act.
There are issues that I want personal opinions on for issues, without the council. NOt on all issues, topics can be deferred.
"Moderating" discussions isn't leading them. I need leadership in the sense of clearly staked ideas and positions. I don't need some mediator.
